Okay, back in July of 2016, I was fortunate enough to acquire a new laptop stand from Roost. I have used the heck out of this stand for the past four months and thought I would take a few minutes to tell you how it has gone.
In short, I truly enjoy my Roost laptop stand. It is light weight and folks up very nicely for easy travel. It holds my fairly large and heavy HP laptop very well. I believe that it was really designed more with a slightly smaller and somewhat lighter laptop in mind. I will admit that my Apple Macbook Pro fits in the Roost’s “claws” better than my HP does.
I was somewhat concerned when I first got the Roost that the plastic whould flex and bend under the heavier laptop and twist out of shape over time. It has been four months of almost daily use and I see no signs of distortion in the pieces of the stand. As I have said in previous reviews of this product, my only displease comes from my choosing the wrong external keyboard to use with it. This of course is no fault of the laptop stand or it’s manufacturer. Rather it is my fault. I chose a fairly inexpensive USB wireless keyboard that has all the annoying characteristics of a cheap keyboard. Enough said.
